Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, we process your account details, such as your name and email address, through our authentication and membership provider, Outseta. You create and manage your membership on our website; the App signs you in to an existing account.

Authentication data. When you sign in, the App stores a secure access token on your device, using the encrypted secure storage provided by the operating system, so that you remain signed in. Your password is transmitted only to authenticate you and is not stored by the App.

Content you create. The App lets you take part in community discussions and use AI-assisted chat (Pearl). We collect the posts, comments, questions, and messages you submit so that we can provide these features. If you submit an in-app safety report, we also collect the report reason, the relevant content identifier or excerpt, and your account information so that we can review and respond to it.

Learning activity. We collect information about your use of course content, such as which lessons you view and your video playback progress, so that we can save and sync your progress across devices.

Technical information. Our servers automatically receive standard technical data, such as IP address and basic device and connection information, when the App communicates with our APIs. The App also uses an installation identifier, push-notification token when you enable notifications, app update information, and crash diagnostics needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the App.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos, and the App does not include third-party advertising.

How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including signing you in and keeping you signed in.
• Deliver course content and save your learning progress.
• Power community and AI-assisted features.
• Respond to your requests and provide support.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information with service providers (sub-processors) who help us operate the Service, including:

• Outseta — authentication, membership, and account management.
• Bold Video — video hosting, course delivery, and AI-assisted features. Pearl sends your question and an account identifier to Bold Video only after you provide in-app consent.
• Mux — video streaming and delivery.
• Sanity — course content management and moderation records.
• Expo, Apple, and Google — app updates, crash diagnostics, and push-notification delivery where enabled.
• Resend — operational and moderation email delivery.

These providers process information on our behalf and under contract. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain and delete information in accordance with our operational and legal requirements, and we honor deletion requests as described below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and your access token is held in encrypted secure storage on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@hrtuniversity.com the address below.

You can change notification preferences in the App. Pearl is optional: the App asks for consent before first use, and you can reset that consent from Account.

Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@hrtuniversity.com, or by managing your account on go.hrtuniversity.com. We will delete your account and personal data, except information that we are required to retain for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

Changes to This Policy

The Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. As revisions are made, the most current versions will be identified by the date at the top of the page "last updated" . Members and users will be alerted to any changes via the listed email on file.
